Rabadaba

Rabadaba is a social media app that pays you to be social! They pay you to do everything you normally do on social media, such as posting pictures, videos or just text posts about whatever is on your mind.

The way it works is you make a post (a dab) and then other users can view your dab and upvote your post.  When a user upvotes your post, you are given a rab which is essentially the point system used. There is also an option to tip users with rabs if you really like their content.

They also have contests that award $10, $7, $5, and $1 worth of rabs for the top posts on a DAILY basis!

The app provides for a great community of users who help each other earn rabs and enter contests for even more!  It is on both Android and iPhone! Minimum cash out is $5 which is equal to 500,000 rabs.  Don’t be surprised at how quickly rabs start accruing when you use the app on a consistent basis!

They also have in-app chatting with other users to connect even more and get you more rabs!

Maven Public Profiles

Email from Maven as of January 20, 2017:

Announcing Public Profiles!
Many of our members have requested a page where all of their boards can be viewed in one place by visitors. You spoke; we listened! The new public profile page gives you a page on Maven with a “vanity” URL containing your Maven user name, links to your blog, retail site and social media pages along with all the public boards you create. It’s a great way to send shoppers to your boards and promote your blog, retail site, and social accounts!
Your Profile will now be available for other users to find you!

  • Your public boards will be listed below your profile allowing others to find more of your selections.
  • Blog or retail sites you have identified will be listed and linked for others to find out more about your blog or store.
  • Connected social accounts are listed with follower counts and direct links so Mavens can find you on social.
  • Edit your information at any time to keep your followers up to date.
  • Shareable profile URL to help promote you and your brand as needed.
  • Update your imagery. Many times profile images imported from Facebook are grainy. You can upload a new image of your choosing!

Powr of You

Powr of You is a website and app for Android and iOS that passively tracks your data through linking to Facebook, Twitter, Chrome, FitBit, and other programs.  They have reached a point in their growth where they will now start paying out users for linking these programs.  The more programs you link, the higher your payout can be.

It has a dashboard where you can see your own trends and analytics as well.  This is fun to see and learn about yourself.  It can track earnings, amount of data you’re sharing, as well as patterns in your Facebook posts and Tweets.

Maven Social Media Earnings Program

Maven recently started a new feature to earn more.  You can now link your social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram).  The more reach you have, the more potential earnings you get.

Here is the email I received (personal information and details have been removed) from Maven’s VP of Marketing and Account Management, Jessica Duncan:

Hi Lazy Money Guy,

Maven has launched a new feature that will allow us to bring you new opportunities to earn money. From time to time, retailers in our network will offer money to members like you if you share products you like from the retailer with your friends and followers. These “sharing events” will happen on an ongoing basis and will be another way to earn at Maven.

The first sharing event could come later this week with ASOS, a fast-fashion, women’s and men’s apparel retailer. We will be offering our members $5-$100 to create a board using products from ASOS and sharing that board on any social network pages you have.

Your earnings will usually be based on how many people follow you in social media.

If you are interested in participating in these sharing events, we will need to obtain the number of followers you have on each of 4 social networks: Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and Instagram. To make collecting that information easy for you, there are 2 steps as noted in the below images:

1.    Access your profile on MavenX.com. You will see a section labeled “Your Social Accounts” with buttons for each of the 4 networks.

2.    Click each network where you have an account.  This will “link” your social account to Maven. Once that’s done, the profile page will automatically obtain the number of friends and followers you have in each network.

We expect several more of these sharing events. Please update your profile and keep an eye out for my invitation to participate. And, if you don’t receive an invitation for the ASOS sharing event, don’t worry. We’ll keep you on the list and bring new sharing events to you from other retailers when we have them available.

Of note, the ‘success’ of these campaigns come from successful purchases in your network. The retailers look for ‘reach’ but also conversion. With that said, personal outreach may help you gain those much needed purchases that can result in MORE of these type of opportunities for you!

Thanks!
